Ruth M. Larson, 87

Ruth M. Larson, age 87, of Starbuck, MN, died Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday at St. Paulís Lutheran Church in Lowry. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Paulís Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are with Hoplin-Hitchcock Funeral Home of Glenwood.

Ruth Margaret Larson, the daughter of Anton and Anna (Clauson) Larson, was born on February 8, 1927. She grew up on a farm near Lowry with her two brothers, Carroll and Quinton, and her sister, Audrey. Ruth was baptized and confirmed at St. Paulís Lutheran Church of Lowry, where she remained a faithful and lifelong member.

After her graduation from rural school, Ruth worked as a nurseís aide for 43 years in Pope County. She was a loving caregiver for many patients, including her mother and her brother, Carroll.

Ruth enjoyed sewing when she was young and took delight in her nieces Anne Larson and Karen (Larson) Quinn.

Ruth died on October 11, 2014, at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck, MN, having lived to the age of 87 years.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Katherine Larson of New Brighton, two nieces, Dr. Anne Quinn of Pennsylvania, and Karen Larson of Arkansas; as well as three cousins, Art (Mary) Isackson of Lowry, Marion (Ron) Wrolson of Alexandria, and Eleanor Carlson of Eagan.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Carroll and Quinton, and her sister, Audrey.
