Kenneth Chester Leo Sr., 65
Kenneth Chester Leo Sr., 65, of Watkins, died Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his residence. A memorial service will be at 1:00 pm, Monday November 17, at Johnson Funeral Home, in Paynesville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date at Glenwood Lutheran Cemetery, in Glenwood. Arrangements are with Johnson Funeral Home, in Paynesville.
Kenneth C. Leo Sr. was born on June 12, 1949 to Chester and Emily (Pochardt) Leo in Morris. He and his family moved to Herman and later Lowry. During this time he worked with his father on the farm. Ken attended and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1968. After high school he attended Alexandria Vocational and Technical School for two years. He received an associate’s degree in Fluid Power Hydraulics. On November 25, 1971, Ken married Diane Warfield. After marriage they lived in Lowry, before moving to Sacramento, CA. After a year in California they moved around the Midwest prior to making their home in Watkins. Ken had many jobs as a programmer and machinist. He enjoyed working for Tolomatic, where he worked for many years. He will be remembered as a hardworking, problem solving man who enjoyed spending time with his family. Ken also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was proud of his six point buck that he shot and would reminisce the story with his family.
Ken is survived by his wife, Diane, children: Chris Leo of Cheney, WA, Ken Jr. (Jen) Leo and grandchildren, Daniel and Micah of Green Bay, WI and Kevin Leo of Watkins. He is also survived by his siblings: Louise (Roger) Pearson and Jane (Wayne) Olson; niece and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Emily; his and mother and father-in-law, Don and Marilyn Warfield, and a niece and nephew.
